The global outbreak of Coronavirus has forced many businesses to make difficult decisions in order to keep one another safe. We have been closely monitering the situation and are following the advice of Governer Wolf.
At Kauffman Gas, we have always strived to do right by our customers and employees and are taking the threat of COVID-19 very seriously.
We believe strongly in customer service and in times like these, we feel that we should do whatever we can to help one another and remain strong.
Safety techniques are not something we just picked up, but they are more important than ever when faced with such a large scale crisis.
Committed to Bringing You Heat
We want you to know that we will be proceeding with our delivery and maintenance services as we always have, but will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Because of this, only essential services will be offered.
We will still be providing:
- Fuel deliveries
- Maintenance services
- Emergency services
We have postponed:
- Routine cleanings
- Tank exchanges
- Inspections
- Non-essential gas line work
- New installation
Slowing the Spread of COVID-19
To combat the spread of the virus, we are being extra diligent with cleaning our equipment and storage facilities. Workers will wear protective masks and gloves when entering a home and proper hand washing techniques are being strictly enforced.
There are also steps you can take to make this difficult time easier. If you or someone in your household has fallen ill, we ask that you please let us know so that our workers do not put themselves in danger by entering your home.
Likewise, any employee that is sick or has traveled recently will not be permitted in a residential home and will be asked to not come to work.
Moving Forward
We will continue to monitor the situation and will be following the advice of health officials on the matter. In the meantime, we ask that you do what you can to slow the spread of the virus and we will do the same.
In times like these it is easy to panic, but let’s try to stay positive and proactive. We can fight this.
