Gauges are on most Kauffman Gas tanks.
Locate the top of your tank - the dome is commonly located 8-12 inches above ground.
Remove the cover. The gauge is almost center.
This gauge's needle points to the right at 76%.
Locate the gauge on top of your aboveground tank.
This gauge's needle points to the left at 10%.
We track how much propane gas you use with each delivery. To be safe, we try to refill the tanks at 20%.

Note: Aboveground propane tanks are designed to be filled to 80% of capacity. Underground propane tanks are designed to be filled to 85% of capacity.
An empty 20lb tank will weigh around 18-20 lbs. A full tank will weigh between 38-40 lbs.
Most people do not know how much gas they have until they run out. The best way to ensure you never run out is to always have a full spare tank.
